Payroll Analyst

Payroll AnalystGulfstream Staffing has been retained by a South Florida based business advisory firm that is experiencing a growth phase. We are currently seeking candidates for a Payroll Analyst role in Fort Lauderdale or Miami, FL.We are seeking an experienced Payroll Analyst who brings deep, hands-on payroll knowledge and is comfortable working across multiple payroll systems. This position requires someone who understands the mechanics behind payroll, not simply someone who has processed payroll.Duties:Plan, develop, and implement payroll analysis processes in accordance with company objectives and client needs.Review and analyze payroll records, earnings, deductions, taxes, benefits, and other payroll data for accuracy.Prepare detailed payroll summaries and reports to evaluate employee and employer payroll activity.Identify, classify, and accurately code payroll deductions, including pre-tax and post-tax deductions.Create and run mock payrolls to validate calculations, deductions, tax treatment, and proposed payroll changes prior to implementation.Navigate and analyze payroll information across multiple payroll platforms and providers.Reconcile payroll data, identify discrepancies, troubleshoot issues, and ensure accurate calculations and coding.Work closely with internal tax, benefits, insurance, and client-facing teams to support the implementation of advanced tax and financial strategies.Quickly learn and navigate new payroll systems based on individual client needs.Qualifications Preferred:3+ years of payroll analysis and/or payroll processing experience preferred.Experience preparing and analyzing payroll summaries.Strong experience coding payroll deductions and understanding pre-tax and post-tax treatment.Hands-on experience creating and reviewing mock payrolls.Experience working with 5 or more payroll platforms required.Experience with platforms such as ADP, Paychex, UKG, Workday, Paylocity, Paycom, Gusto, QuickBooks Payroll, Dayforce, or similar systems.Ability to work independently, manage multiple client payroll environments, and quickly learn new systems.Compensation:Competitive salary commensurate with experienceMedical, Dental, VisionMatching 401(k)PTO
