Shift: 24-hour shifts (day rounds, on-call from home)

License/Certs: NC Nurse Practitioner License, Board Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) required

Experience: Minimum 2+ years as an NNP (excluding RN experience)

What You'll Do

• Provide advanced neonatal care for a newly established Level I Nursery at CaroMont Regional Medical Center-Belmont
• Conduct daily rounds on newborns and participate in deliveries when requested
• Stabilize, manage, and facilitate the transport of newborns requiring higher-level NICU care
• Collaborate with a dedicated team of NNPs, neonatologists, and other healthcare professionals
• Support the development of the unit, ensuring quality patient care and safety
• Participate in neonatal stabilization and transfer processes, coordinating with nearby NICUs in Charlotte and Gastonia
• Contribute to a dynamic, multidisciplinary team committed to excellence in neonatal care

What You Need

• NC Nurse Practitioner license and Board Certification as Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP)
• Minimum 2+ years of professional NNP experience
• Ability to work 24-hour shifts and manage neonatal emergencies effectively
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Preferred:

• Experience with neonatal stabilization and transport
• Prior experience in a Level I nursery or similar critical care setting

About the Assignment Join a brand-new, 10-bed Level I Nursery at CaroMont Regional Medical Center-Belmont, scheduled to open in late 2024. The unit will handle approximately 600 deliveries annually with a daily census of about five newborns. You will play a pivotal role in neonatal stabilization, care, and transfer. Located just minutes from Charlotte, NC, this facility offers a supportive environment aimed at delivering exceptional neonatal services in a new, state-of-the-art setting.
