Work Environment

This full-time position is onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility, allowing you to work closely with patients in a supportive and collaborative atmosphere. Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will:

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients based on their unique needs and diagnoses.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess each client's functional capabilities and limitations, utilizing diagnostic and prognostic testing skills.
• Supervise and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants and ensure they adhere to established plans of care.
• Design and instruct tailored therapeutic exercise programs, including both manual and non-manual activities, to motivate and assist clients.
• Evaluate home environments for rehabilitation needs and provide actionable recommendations to foster client independence.
• Administer treatment modalities, such as traction and massage, and apply physical agents in accordance with patient-specific requirements.
• Participate actively in the development, review, and refinement of patient care plans, making necessary adjustments based on patient progress and feedback.
• Document clinical findings, treatment plans, and progress consistently and accurately within electronic medical records.
• Engage in case conferences with interdisciplinary teams to jointly plan and evaluate comprehensive treatment approaches for clients.
• Stay current on best practices and regulatory standards in physical therapy to ensure high-quality care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with orthopedic patients, including those recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions affecting their mobility and function. Understanding each patient's unique circumstances and collaborating with them on their recovery is essential to foster independence and enhance their quality of life.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must possess:

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy, with preference given to candidates with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
• Current physical therapy licensure in good standing in the state of Florida.
• Current CPR certification and a valid driver's license with automobile insurance.
• A strong commitment to patient-focused care and clinical excellence.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with clients and families.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to a positive work atmosphere.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following experiences will enhance your application:

• One year of prior experience in a physical therapy role, specifically in acute care or home care settings.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and documentation requirements.
• Experience in mentoring or supervising junior staff or Physical Therapy Assistants.
