RWJBarnabas Health, the largest integrated healthcare system in New Jersey, is seeking a board-certified Emergency Medicine Physician to serve as the Chair of the Emergency Medicine Department at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. Responsibilities As Chair, you will practice within the department, oversee all clinical activities, and provide leadership and support for academic initiatives at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. You will supervise and teach residents, lead research and quality‑improvement efforts, create policies that drive improvements in quality and safety, and grow the robust emergency medicine department. Qualifications Strong clinical leader with experience driving improvements in quality and safety Commitment to academic excellence, including prior experience in resident education and clinical research At least 5 years of academic leadership experience Board certification in Emergency Medicine Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of New Jersey Exceptional interpersonal skills, strong clinical background, and a keen understanding of how to drive and maintain clinical quality standards Preferred: academic clinical background Compensation The anticipated salary range for this position is $350,000 to $480,000 per year, depending on educational background, skills, and professional experience.
