Position Overview RWJBarnabas Health is hiring a board‑certified Emergency Medicine physician to serve as Chair of the Emergency Medicine Department at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. As Chair, you will lead a multidisciplinary team, oversee all clinical activities, and advance the academic mission of the department. Responsibilities Practice clinical medicine within the Emergency Department. Lead and supervise residency and fellowship education. Develop and implement policies to improve quality and safety. Provide academic leadership and support for research initiatives. Collaborate with other service lines and hospital leadership. Qualifications Board certification in Emergency Medicine. At least 5years of academic leadership experience. Experience in resident education and clinical research. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Licensure or eligibility for licensure in the State of New Jersey. Strong commitment to quality and patient‑safety improvement. Preferred Qualifications Academic clinical background in Emergency Medicine. Compensation and Benefits The anticipated annual salary range is $350,000 to $480,000, dependent on experience, education, and skills.
