Job Description
HPE Networking is seeking an experienced Account Manager to lead and grow our Higher Education business across the states of Colorado and Wyoming. This role serves as the primary point of contact for state government, universities, community colleges, and higher‑education systems—driving long‑term relationships, strategic technology initiatives, and adoption of HPE Networking solutions across data center networking, wide area networking, campus networking, wireless, security, and HPE GreenLake.
You will own account strategy and execution across the region, leveraging your technical acumen and ability to navigate the complex, cyclical nature of state government and higher‑education procurement.

Required Qualifications
• 5–10 years of technology sales or account management experience.
• Strong understanding of networking technologies including data center switching, WAN, Wi‑Fi, security, and consumption-based models.
• Experience selling in SLED, public sector, or higher education is desired but not required.
• Proven ability to manage complex accounts and multi‑stakeholder selling cycles.
• Demonstrated success working with technical teams and channel ecosystems.
• Excellent communication, discovery, and relationship-building skills.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with HPE Networking, Aruba, Cisco, Juniper, or comparable networking vendors.
• Familiarity with higher‑education procurement cycles, grants, and long-term budget planning.
• Experience with HPE GreenLake or similar consumption/aaS models.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience in competitive displacement scenarios.

The expected salary/wage range for this position is provided below. Actual offer may vary from this range based upon geographic location, work experience, education/training, and/or skill level. – United States of America: Annual Salary USD 204,500 - 397,500 in ColoradoThis range reflects the minimum to maximum combined base and target-level sales compensation that would be paid if the hire performs at 100% of their sales plan. Of that on-target pay amount, the mix of base salary and target-level sales compensation is 50%/50%.
