Registered Nurse – NICUThe Registered Nurse – NICU cares for newborn babies who are delivered pre-term or at-term newborns who experience complications at the time of birth. The Registered Nurse – NICU provides intensive around-the-clock care, including both medical needs and basic daily care activities.# of Openings: 112 openings for 0.9 FTE for 9 week assignment9 openings for 1.2 FTE for 9 weeks assignmentShift: Day/Evening/NightShift Length: 12 hoursWeekends: Every otherCall: NoAssignment Length: 9 weeksRequirements: Graduate of accredited school of nursing, MN RN license or MN Temp Permit-RN, BLS cert, NRP cert, and 2 yrs NICU nursing experience which includes ability to care for infants requiring: assisted ventilation including high frequency ventilator (JET and Oscillator), conventional vents, and non-invasive methods (bubble CPAP, RAM cannula, HFNC (high flow nasal cannula), pre and post op care of critically ill newborns (including those with trachs), pre-term infants including ELBW (extremely low birth weight) population, strong knowledge of developmental care is expected.Responsibilities: Coordinate and provide family-centered nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents, utilizing the nursing process.
