Chronos has closed new business the same way for nine years: the founder takes the calls. This seat changes that. You'll run discovery and proposal calls on inbound and referral leads, work from a documented playbook, and carry your own number. There is no cold prospecting in this job.

Chronos Agency runs retention marketing (email, SMS, and push) for direct-to-consumer ecommerce brands. We're in our ninth year and have worked with more than 600 brands. Our buyers are founders and marketing leaders in the US, UK, Australia, and Europe. We sell the same way we deliver: we find where a brand's retention setup is leaking revenue, put a number on it, and prescribe the fix.

This is our first dedicated closer seat. The discovery framework, the word-for-word scripts, and the call library the founder built are all documented and ready for you. The CEO keeps the largest and most complex deals. You take the rest, report directly to the CEO, and work daily with our sales operations lead and our marketing team.

What You'll Own

• Execute discovery and proposal calls using our documented framework and scripts to maintain high conversion standards.
• Maximize show rates by contacting new bookings within minutes to confirm appointments and build prospect intent.
• Manage the end-to-end follow-up process in HubSpot, ensuring every call concludes with a clear, dated next step.
• Drive account expansion by supporting account managers with seasonal upgrade packages and campaign tiers for existing clients.
• Collaborate on deal scoping and pricing while providing marketing with feedback on lead quality from the front line.

What We're Looking For

• Proven track record with 2–5+ years closing B2B deals, preferably in agency services or ecommerce SaaS.
• Expertise in consultative selling and discovery frameworks such as SPIN or Sandler.
• Exceptional verbal English skills with the ability to communicate effectively with global founders.
• Availability to work within South African or similar time zones for optimal overlap with UK, US, and AU markets.
• High coachability and commitment to following a documented playbook while implementing feedback from reviews.
• Diligent CRM hygiene, maintaining accurate deal stages and data in HubSpot independently.
• Familiarity with Klaviyo or retention marketing economics is highly advantageous.

How You'll Be Measured

Your job is to turn inbound and warm pipeline into new clients predictably, so closing runs on a system instead of on the founder being in the room. The scorecard is explicit from day one:

• Targeted close rate on inbound opportunities with a formal performance review at 90 days.
• Show rate excellence: 15-minute response time for bookings and a minimum 75% attendance rate.
• Commitment to next steps: All calls ending with a confirmed, dated follow-up action.
• Data integrity: Real-time accuracy of deal values and sources within HubSpot.
• Price integrity: Consistent adherence to established pricing tiers and packaging.

Your First 90 Days

1. Days 1–30: Onboarding & Shadowing — Master sales playbooks, scripts, and HubSpot hygiene. Shadow live calls and assume responsibility for show-rate management. Conduct initial discovery calls with CEO supervision.
2. Days 31–60: Pipeline Ownership — Execute discovery calls independently and lead proposal sessions. Manage the full follow-up pipeline and participate in weekly performance reviews of call recordings.
3. Days 61–90: Full Autonomy — Achieve full solo status on all warm and inbound deals. Meet close-rate targets to unlock additional lead sources and expanded quota responsibilities.
