Director New Business Development - Northwest Region

Your Role Target customers in the North‑West Region (North of San Francisco, Washington and parts of Canada), including emerging, mid‑size, and large pharmaceutical companies with mid/late‑stage clinical development projects and commercial API products. Formulate and implement New Business Development (NBD) strategies based on market research and industry insights. Engage in company social marketing activities to raise awareness of offerings and planned events. Support client visits to various sites within Siegfried’s global manufacturing network. Stakeholder Management Orchestrate mutual efforts with global and local departments to grow the business. Plan and align with customers on their requirements, forecasts, and firm orders to ensure seamless execution of new API business within our global network. Work with technical teams to evaluate and assess new projects, enabling preparation and submission of written proposals. Develop contracts with new customers (in conjunction with Siegfried departments involved) and remain responsible for monitoring and compliance. Knowledge and Experience Minimum of 5 years of sales experience within a pharmaceutical CDMO, with strong knowledge of drug substance (API) manufacturing. Additional knowledge of API services in the pharmaceutical industry (business development, sales, R&D, production, project management) is an advantage. BSc / MSc / PhD degree in chemistry, natural sciences, or chemical engineering is preferred. Soft Skills Driven and entrepreneurial mindset; enjoy teamwork yet capable of working autonomously to achieve goals. High degree of resilience and determination, essential in a competitive industry to convey Siegfried’s value proposition. Strong communication skills and ability to work with domestic and international colleagues. Other Requirements Around 30% travel required.
