Vice President of FinanceThe Vice President of Finance is mission-driven, strategic, and an operationally strong partner who serves as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Vice President of Finance will provide leadership, oversight, and stewardship of all financial operations for a multi-branch nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening the foundations of community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The Vice President of Finance serves as a trusted advisor to the CEO, Board of Directors, Finance Committee, and senior leadership team while maintaining hands-on oversight of all accounting, financial reporting, compliance, audit, budgeting, forecasting, and treasury functions.Essential Functions:Partner with the CEO and executive team to develop and execute strategic and financial objectives.Acts as a strategic advisor to the CEO, Board and Finance CommitteeProvides leadership, mentoring, training and coaching to the Finance Department team.Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support organizational decision-making.Leads long-range financial planning and sustainability initiatives working closely with the CEO and COO.Participate in capital planning, and growth initiatives.Direct all aspects of financial management and reporting.Lead annual operating and capital budgets.Assist with debt management and serve planning.Prepare monthly financial statements, dashboard and KPI reportingOversee financial reporting, forecasting, and performance analysis.Manage cash flow, investments, banking relationships, and financial risk management.Oversee General Ledger, AP, AR, Fixed Assets and Grant Accounting.Administration of YERDI fund contributions.Serve as primary liaison to external auditors.Coordinate annual audits and tax filings.Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements, YMCA standards and grants are adhered to.Lead and develop finance staff.Foster accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.Promote financial literacy and accountability throughout the YMCA.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.Seven or more years of progressive financial leadership experience.Strong experience in accounting, budgeting, forecasting, audits, and reporting.CPA, MBA, or nonprofit experience preferred.Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:Working conditions are normal for an office environment, with sitting, bending, lifting, standing, reaching, extended periods of reading, writing, data entry, phone communication.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
