Bookkeeper

Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial operations and maintain accurate accounting records. This individual will play a key role in supporting the organization's financial health by ensuring all transactions are recorded, reconciled, and reported accurately.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working independently while collaborating with internal teams and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

Manage daily bookkeeping activities, including recording financial transactions and maintaining the general ledger
Perform general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a regular basis
Handle full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoicing, billing, and collections
Process vendor payments, checks, and electronic transactions in a timely manner
Maintain accurate records of financial activity, including donations or other incoming funds as applicable
Prepare and complete bank deposits
Assist with budgeting by providing financial data and supporting analysis
Support month-end and year-end close processes, including audit preparation
Track and follow up on outstanding items to ensure a smooth 1099 process
Process payroll and maintain payroll records using ADP
Maintain organized financial records and documentation in both digital and physical formats
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and increase efficiency

Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of general accounting principles (GAAP)
Hands-on experience with:
QuickBooks (required)
ADP payroll systems (required)
Microsoft Excel and other accounting tools
Experience with bank reconciliations, AP/AR, and financial reporting

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
