Labor Employment Associate

A leading Am Law 50 international law firm is seeking a Labor & Employment Associate with 3–6 years of experience to join its growing Century City office.

With more than 1,000 attorneys across 16 offices worldwide and over 150 attorneys dedicated to Labor & Employment, the firm boasts one of the largest and most respected employment practices in the country. The Century City office is home to more than 100 attorneys advising clients across a broad range of industries and practice areas.

Due to continued growth and strong client demand, the team is seeking an associate who can take ownership of matters and contribute immediately to a thriving practice.

Responsibilities

• Handle all phases of employment litigation, including: single-plaintiff employment actions and class actions and representative actions
• Take and defend depositions
• Draft, research, and argue motions
• Conduct complex factual investigations and case analysis
• Develop litigation strategy and manage day-to-day case responsibilities
• Work directly with clients on employment-related disputes and workplace issues
• Collaborate with attorneys across offices on sophisticated employment matters
• Take ownership of cases with increasing levels of responsibility and independence

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of employment litigation experience
• Experience handling both single-plaintiff and class/representative actions
• Strong litigation, advocacy, and case management skills
• Experience taking and defending depositions
• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical abilities
• Strong academic credentials
• Ability to manage matters with minimal supervision
• JD from an accredited law school
• Admitted to and in good standing with the California Bar
