Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patients' physical conditions and functional limitations.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that address goals such as improving mobility, enhancing strength, alleviating pain, and increasing overall functionality.
• Administer therapeutic interventions, including hands-on techniques, modalities, exercises, and educational sessions to facilitate recovery.
• Guide patients through both active and passive exercises, ensuring proper techniques to maximize rehabilitation outcomes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians and nursing staff, to create a cohesive care continuum and ensure effective communication regarding patient progress.
• Instruct patients and their families on rehabilitation strategies and modifications needed for effective recovery.
• Document patient treatments and progress meticulously in our electronic health record system to maintain compliance and promote continuity of care.
• Perform regular evaluations and reassessments to adjust treatment plans based on patient progress and feedback.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an orthopedic physical therapist at our facility, you will work primarily with adults recovering from surgical procedures, injuries, and chronic pain conditions related to musculoskeletal disorders. Your expertise will be vital in developing strategies for improving patient outcomes, focusing on rebuilding strength, enhancing mobility, and restoring independence in daily activities.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree or higher in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current and valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• A minimum of one year of experience in a physical therapy setting, with a strong understanding of orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to educate patients effectively.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills to build rapport and trust with patients and colleagues.
• Demonstrated clinical skills along with a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in outpatient rehabilitation focusing on orthopedic conditions.
• Certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy or relevant specialties highly preferred.
• Knowledge of current evidence-based practices and therapeutic interventions.

Compensation and Benefits
