We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join a small team in Sanford, Florida on a contract basis with the potential for a long-term opportunity. The role combines core bookkeeping responsibilities with payroll coordination, invoice management, and support for estimating activities.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee the full accounts payable cycle by reviewing, entering, and tracking vendor invoices with accuracy and timeliness.
• Manage accounts receivable tasks, including preparing customer invoices, recording incoming payments, and monitoring outstanding balances.
• Coordinate payroll submission for approximately 30 employees by compiling time and pay information and forwarding it to the payroll provider.
• Maintain current and accurate financial records in QuickBooks Online through consistent data entry and routine updates.
• Reconcile bank activity and verify transactions to help ensure completeness and accuracy across accounting records.
• Provide administrative assistance related to estimating by organizing documentation and supporting internal follow-up needs.
• Help keep financial processes running smoothly by prioritizing deadlines and maintaining orderly supporting records.• Demonstrated experience performing bookkeeping duties in a detail-oriented office environment.
• Working knowledge of QuickBooks, including regular transaction entry and record maintenance.
• Hands-on experience with both accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Ability to complete bank reconciliations accurately and investigate discrepancies when needed.
• Familiarity with payroll coordination and submitting employee pay data to an external payroll provider.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage routine tasks consistently and accurately.
• Effective organizational and communication skills to support a small team setting.
