Employee Benefits Account Manager

Job Description

Essential Functions

\n

\n
1. Assist in development of open enrollment kits and materials
\n
2. Participate in and create materials for client strategy sessions, planning meetings and client issue meetings with account team
\n
3. Compile data and assemble Requests for Proposal (RFP) for various lines of coverage.
\n
4. Evaluate RFP responses and create qualitative and quantitative assessments of each
\n
5. Implement new cases by following a case checklist which may involve familiarizing clients with their current benefit plans
\n
6. Communicate and assist in implementing compliance and/or regulatory changes with clients (including COBRA, ERISA, HSA, HRA, Flex, HIPAA, etc.)
\n
7. Review and correct SPDs, Wrap documents, and Certifications from carriers
\n
8. Have a full understanding of group medical and ancillary programs
\n
9. Prepare renewal and provided options after receiving work direction from Risk Advisor or Account Executive
\n
10. Work on claims issues, benefit and coverage questions, open enrollments, compliance questions, and other benefit related questions
\n
11. Work with colleagues to manage workloads, build and maintain good vendor and client relationships
\n
12. Perform all actions relating to customers and companies in a manner that will avoid issues involving potential errors and omissions
\n

Desired Qualifications

\n

\n
• Have active Life Health and Accident License
\n
• Ability to understand and work through automation systems and workflows
\n
• Education: bachelor’s degree preferred
\n
• 2+ years of experience in employee benefits and insurance experience
\n
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products
\n
• Proficient with customer management systems and record keeping
\n

• Ability to work effectively in an office environment for 40+ hours per week (including sitting, standing and working on a computer for extended periods of time)

• Ability to communicate effectively in a collaborative work environment utilizing various technologies such as: telephone, computer, web, voice, teleconferencing, mail, etc.

• Ability to read standard typed documents
\n
• Ability to travel

Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm CST core hours

This role is an exempt, full-time role.
