Well Extremities Rehab and Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our vibrant team in Port Jervis, New York. Key Responsibilities

• Assist Physical Therapists in developing and implementing comprehensive treatment plans that align with the patients' rehabilitation goals.
• Administer therapeutic exercises and functional activities tailored to each patient, ensuring proper techniques and methods are applied.
• Monitor patient progress diligently, documenting responses to therapy while making necessary adjustments to treatment as needed.
• Provide patient education on movement techniques, home exercise programs, and strategies for injury prevention to empower patients in their recovery process.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during all therapy sessions, providing encouragement and adjustments to enhance their therapy experience.
• Collaborate with PTs, physicians, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve thorough and cohesive patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and insurance guidelines, ensuring timely entries that reflect patient progress and care modifications.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population consists of individuals recovering from a wide range of conditions, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, chronic musculoskeletal disorders, and geriatric rehabilitation. The PTA will be an essential part of our efforts to treat a diverse array of patients, focusing on personalized care that accommodates varying abilities and recovery needs. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or an Associate's degree in Physical Therapist Assisting from a CAPTE-accredited program.
• Possession of a valid New York PTA license, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
• Strong understanding of therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and clinical rehabilitation protocols.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, caregivers, and the healthcare team.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems, particularly Web PT, is preferred.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of direct experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant, preferably in a hospital or rehabilitation setting.
• Experience in working with a diverse group of patients and familiarity with a range of rehabilitation techniques is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits
