Work Environment

The physical therapist will operate onsite at our Port Jervis rehabilitation facility, which provides a structured and organized environment designed to minimize distractions and maximize patient care. You will work from Monday to Friday, with a typical schedule from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life integration while offering weekend time for personal pursuits. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical abilities and limitations to devise tailored treatment plans.
• Administer therapeutic exercises and modalities to an average of 7 patients daily, helping them regain function, strength, and mobility.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment progress, at-home exercise regimens, and functional strategies to enhance recovery.
• Maintain meticulous records of patient progress and treatment protocols in our electronic health record system to ensure seamless communication with the care team.
• Engage with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement comprehensive care strategies that address both physical and emotional needs of patients.
• Monitor and adjust treatment plans proactively, utilizing patient feedback and outcomes to optimize therapy sessions.
• Participate in staff training and continuing education programs to stay informed about the latest developments in the field of physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary patient demographic includes individuals recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Expect to work closely with older adults, as our facility specializes in rehabilitation for those recovering from major health events such as strokes, orthopedic surgery, or joint replacements. Qualifications

• Current Physical Therapist License in New York State is mandatory.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
• Two years of clinical experience in a rehabilitation or skilled nursing setting is essential.

Compensation and Benefits
