Overview
Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (Travel) in Utica, New York. This travel assignment starts 07/06/2026 and runs for 8 weeks in a hospital ED. Weekly pay ranges from $2,210 to $2,275, with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. Shift is 2x3 days. ED work includes newborns through geriatrics, in a 64-bed unit. This assignment requires current NYRN licensure, EPIC EMR experience, and the ability to float as needed within the department.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct, patient-centered care in the Emergency Department for newborns, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
- Triage, rapidly assess, prioritize, and manage care for incoming ED patients; monitor and interpret vital signs and test results; escalate per protocol
- Administer medications and treatments; monitor responses and document in EPIC EMR
- Respond to emergencies (eg, cardiac events, sepsis, trauma); support airway management and rhythm monitoring as appropriate
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, techs, and respiratory therapists to coordinate care and discharge planning; educate patients and families
- Maintain infection control, safety standards, and documentation accuracy in a fast-paced ED setting

Requirements
- Active New York RN license (Nursys verification) and eligibility to practice in NY
- Minimum 2+ years of Emergency Department nursing experience; some pediatric exposure preferred
- Travel nursing experience required; documented travel history preferred
- Certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC; TNCC must be in hand
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Ability to float within the ED to support high-acuity patient care and maintain composure in a busy environment
- Driver’s license with address matching demographics may be required for credentialing
