Overview
Registered Nurse, Emergency Department — Utica, New York. Start date: 07/27/2026. This is a 13-week travel assignment in a hospital ED. Shift: 12-hour evening shifts. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Weekly pay: $2,297 to $2,471. Employment type: Travel - Temporary Assignment.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the ED for adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients, including triage, assessment, monitoring, and ongoing evaluation.
- Administer medications, start IVs, and assist with rapid assessment and resuscitation as needed.
- Interpret vital signs, monitor patient status, and participate in interdisciplinary treatment plans with physicians, nurses, and support staff.
- Perform procedures and care delivery consistent with ED protocols; facilitate imaging, labs, and patient transport as required.
- Document care in the electronic health record (EPIC) and communicate changes in patient condition to the care team.
- Support flow through the ED, including patient admissions, discharges, and escalation of care when indicated; participate in safe patient handoffs.

Requirements
- Active New York State RN license (NURSYS verification required)
- Minimum 3 years ED experience, with some pediatric exposure
- Current certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS; TNCC required
- EPIC EMR experience
- Travel experience required; must live at least 75 miles from the facility (travel rate); locals within 75 miles are considered local rate
- Up-to-date resume including ED experience and travel experience
- RTO (leave) must be included at time of submission
- Floating to other ED areas and flexible coverage as needed
- Ability to work in a fast-paced ED environment and adhere to department policies and patient safety standards
