Studio Technology & AV Operations Specialist supports

Position Summary

The Studio Technology & AV Operations Specialist supports reliable, high-quality live productions, studio systems, and conference-room technology across multiple office locations. This role operates production equipment, assists talent, maintains studio and collaboration systems, coordinates software and Cisco OS updates, monitors device health, and drives immediate post-update recovery. The ideal candidate combines hands-on AV capability with strong ownership, calm troubleshooting, and disciplined operational follow-through.

Key Responsibilities

Live Production and Studio Support:

• Operate video switchers, sound boards, and related technology in a live production environment.
• Support microphone setup and work directly with talent to achieve clear, consistent sound quality.
• Assist with studio productions, rehearsals, recording sessions, and other live or hybrid events.
• Support professional video and cinema camera workflows and basic lighting setups as experience allows.
• Conference Rooms, Zoom Rooms, and Cisco Devices
• Troubleshoot common AV and collaboration-technology issues in conference rooms.
• Manage the monthly Zoom Room update process across multiple office locations.
• Maintain accurate room and device information in Cisco Control Hub.
• Assist with Zoom Room installations, replacements, and onsite deployment activities.
• Plan and schedule Cisco OS updates for conference-room devices across all supported sites.
• Monitor Cisco device status and update progress before, during, and after scheduled maintenance.
• Verify that every affected device recovers and returns to service immediately following an update.
• Coordinate site-level focus, ownership, and troubleshooting to accelerate recovery when a device does not return to service as expected.
• Document update results, exceptions, recovery actions, and unresolved issues; escalate risks to management promptly.

Studio Systems and Operational Readiness:

• Track software and firmware updates for critical studio hardware and notify management when action is required.
• Track the studio technology refresh schedule and keep management informed of upcoming needs and risks.
• Manage the video wall power schedule and confirm expected operation.
• Coordinate with housekeeping on weekly control-room cleaning while protecting sensitive production equipment.
• Maintain studio inventory and organize media storage in the control room and studio.
• Update digital signage content as requested and confirm successful deployment.

Video Editing Responsibilities :

• Edit recorded footage into polished, professional videos using a non-linear editing platform.
• Assemble video, audio, graphics, music, and supporting assets into cohesive final productions.
• Perform basic color correction, audio balancing, noise reduction, and visual cleanup.
• Create titles, lower thirds, transitions, captions, and other on-screen graphics.
• Edit multi-camera recordings and synchronize video with externally recorded audio.
• Prepare shorter clips and alternate versions for internal communications, presentations, and digital signage.
• Review footage for technical and content quality, correcting issues when possible.
• Incorporate stakeholder feedback and manage revisions through final approval.
• Export videos using the appropriate resolution, aspect ratio, codec, and file format for each delivery platform.
• Organize project files, raw footage, graphics, audio, and completed exports using established naming and storage standards.
• Archive completed projects and maintain media so assets can be located and reused efficiently.
• Coordinate with producers, presenters, and other stakeholders to understand the intended audience, message, and delivery requirements.

Required Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with video switchers and sound boards in a live production environment.
• Working knowledge of microphone systems and experience supporting talent for optimal audio quality.
• Ability to troubleshoot AV, conferencing, and connected-device issues methodically.
• Ability to coordinate scheduled updates and validate device recovery across multiple sites.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to maintain accurate operational records.
• Ability to work calmly under pressure and respond effectively during live events or service-impacting incidents.
• Flexibility to support scheduled maintenance, production needs, and time-sensitive recovery activities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with vMix and Allen & Heath audio equipment.
• Experience using a non-linear editing system to edit footage and mix audio; Adobe Creative Suite experience preferred.
• Experience administering or supporting Zoom Rooms and Cisco Control Hub.
• Experience updating Cisco conference-room device operating systems or firmware.
• Previous experience with professional ERG/cinema cameras and lighting fundamentals.
• Experience supporting production, studio, corporate AV, or workplace-technology environments.
