About the Role

We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable Clerk to join our accounting team. In this role, you will support the day-to-day financial operations of the company by managing a variety of accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, including payment posting, reconciliations, deposits, and record maintenance across multiple divisions.

This position is best suited for someone with hands-on experience processing payments, reconciliations, deposits, or invoice-related accounting tasks. The ideal candidate is organized, accurate, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. You'll collaborate closely with the Accounting Manager and partner with employees throughout the organization to ensure efficient and accurate financial processes.

What You'll Do

• Perform daily cash drawer counts and reconciliations for multiple divisions.

• Prepare and process deposits from cash drawers, divisions, and other sources.

• Make bank deposit runs as needed.

• Retrieve and process checks received through mail and email, including remote deposits through online banking.

• Accurately apply customer payments and post transactions to customer accounts in a timely manner.

• Assist credit representatives with customer account inquiries and requests.

• Conduct bi-weekly physical cash box counts for the Salt Lake location and verify counts submitted by other divisions.

• Maintain organized electronic records and historical documentation through a shared filing system.

• Support Accounts Payable activities, including invoice processing and accurate general ledger coding.

• Safeguard confidential financial and accounting information.

• Assist with special projects and provide additional support to the accounting team as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

• Some college coursework in Accounting, Finance, or Business is preferred.

• 1–2 years of recent A/R, A/P, bookkeeping or transactional accounting experience is required.

• Experience with payment posting, reconciliations, deposits and invoice processing strongly preferred.

• Excel assessment and 10-Key test required.
