Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health status through video consultations and telephonic sessions, establishing a solid understanding of their challenges.

• Develop and implement customized therapeutic plans tailored to individual client needs, encompassing evidence-based practices, and regularly evaluate progress.

• Schedule and conduct regular follow-up sessions, providing clients with tools and strategies for managing symptoms, enhancing coping skills, and promoting resilience.

• Collaborate with other professionals across disciplines by referring clients to psychiatrists, group therapies, or additional support resources as necessary.

• Maintain meticulous electronic health records (EHR), documenting all client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

• Engage in continuous professional development to remain current with mental health trends, treatments, and regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a varied and dynamic clientele, addressing a broad spectrum of mental health concerns, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, trauma, and eating disorders. Your ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds will be crucial in fostering a safe and welcoming atmosphere where healing can occur.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A valid and current license as a Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, LCSW-R) issued by the state of New York.

• A minimum of four years of relevant experience in a clinical setting, demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of mental health disorders and treatment methodologies.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to build trusting relationships and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues alike.

• Strong understanding of cultural competence and the ability to provide therapy that respects and integrates clients’ interpersonal and cultural dynamics.
