Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations to assess clients' emotional, behavioral, and psychological needs.

• Develop detailed and individualized treatment plans that align with evidence-based practices and client goals.
\n
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing a variety of therapeutic modalities to engage clients effectively.
\n
• Monitor and document client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment approaches based on their evolving needs.
\n
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, primary care physicians, and social workers, to coordinate holistic care for clients.

• Develop comprehensive referral pathways for clients needing additional services, ensuring seamless transitions between care levels.

• Educate and support families and primary caregivers in managing mental health challenges, enhancing their ability to foster recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work primarily with a diverse outpatient population, including individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and various behavioral disorders. Your role will also involve addressing the multifaceted needs of families and couples, providing them with tools and strategies to navigate challenges together. This diversity of experience enables you to develop broad expertise while contributing meaningfully to community mental health.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Pennsylvania.

• A successful score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document accurately and engage effectively with clients.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and a genuine concern for client well-being.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience working as a mental health counselor in an outpatient or community mental health setting.

• Familiarity with clinical documentation requirements and electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR.

• Experience in dealing with co-occurring disorders, including underlying health conditions and addictions.
\n
• Knowledge of and adherence to the best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

Compensation and Benefits\n
