Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations, including preliminary interviews, to assess clients' emotional, behavioral, and psychological needs.

• Create, implement, and monitor customized treatment plans, modifying approaches as necessary to meet the evolving needs of clients.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing methods grounded in the latest evidence-based practices.
\n
• Document each stage of client care, tracking progress through detailed notes from initial consultations to the conclusion of treatment.
\n
• Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to coordinate efforts in client care.
\n
• Identify potential barriers to recovery and develop strategies to mitigate these challenges, ensuring clients have the support they need.

• Engage with family members and caregivers to provide additional support and guidance on managing complex behavioral health situations.
\n
• Stay informed on the latest advancements in mental health counseling and remain compliant with the standards set by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from a regionally accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.
\n
• A successful score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on empathetic listening and effective interpersonal relationship-building.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience providing mental health counseling in an outpatient setting.

• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, ideally with experience using AVATAR.
\n
• Demonstrated understanding of co-occurring conditions and therapeutic modalities for treating complex cases.

• Familiarity with psychotropic medications and their effects, collaborating with prescribing physicians to ensure comprehensive care.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience, and we offer a sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.
