Sous Chef

We are looking for a reliable sous chef to help with prep, lunches, and banquets. Flexible hours. Not too many evenings. Professional and relaxed working environment. Experienced candidates welcome but we are willing to train the right candidate without prior experience. Responsibilities Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus. Assist in menu planning, including seasonal specials and catering options. Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food preparation areas. Utilize various cooking techniques and equipment, including knives, grills, ovens, and fryers. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during peak hours. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary. Uphold fine dining standards by presenting dishes attractively and ensuring quality control. Experience Previous experience in a restaurant or catering environment is preferred. Strong knowledge of meal preparation techniques and food handling practices. Experience in fine dining settings is a plus. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
