Position Details:

Title: Customer Service Representative

Position Type: 3 month contract with additional opportunity contingent upon performance and continued business need

Job Location: Pembroke Pines, FL

Shift: 1st

Compensation: $20/HR

Responsibilities:

• Provide professional and courteous customer service in response to customer inquiries, concerns, and service-related issues.
• Receive and initiate customer contact to resolve complaints and ensure timely issue resolution.
• Process customer billing activities, cash receipts, and related reporting functions.
• Follow established processes, procedures, and company policies.
• Identify and communicate process inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
• Maintain complaint tracking records and work order systems to ensure timely, efficient, and complete customer service responsiveness.
• Answer incoming telephone calls, route messages, and respond to customer inquiries.
• Assist customers with account information, including billing and usage-related questions.
• Process requests for meter re-reads and related service inquiries.
• Utilize computer systems to enter, track, and maintain customer service records and generate reports.
• Assist with establishing new customer accounts and closing existing accounts while ensuring accurate billing and service scheduling.
• Perform general administrative duties, including word processing, filing, and record maintenance.
• Support billing and collection activities, including printing bills, collecting payments, balancing cash registers, and preparing deposits.
• Generate billing reports, monthly reports, and other required operational reports.
• Maintain and update entries within the Corrective Maintenance Management System (CMMS), including tracking and reporting activities.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
• Previous customer service, billing, administrative, or utility industry experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to accurately enter, maintain, and track customer account information.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Experience handling cash receipts, payments, balancing registers, and preparing deposits preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with customer billing systems, work order systems, or CMMS software is a plus.
• Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and maintaining accurate records.
