Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' histories, needs, and treatment goals.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based methodologies tailored to each patient's unique experiences.

• Utilize specific therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to help patients navigate their trauma.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at enhancing coping strategies, emotional regulation, and fostering a supportive therapeutic environment.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to create a comprehensive care plan, ensuring that all aspects of a patient’s mental health are addressed.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating strong skills in managing acute situations.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary patients served at Life Edge are individuals who have experienced trauma, including but not limited to survivors of abuse, neglect, and significant life disruptions. As a mental health therapist, you will cultivate relationships with clients from various demographics, each requiring a unique approach to healing.

Qualifications\n

• An accredited Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.

• Current, valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
