Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting young learners as a Special Education Resource Teacher (Pre-K) for a contract assignment in a dynamic school setting. This position focuses on providing specialized instruction and support to kindergarten through 2nd-grade students, with a particular emphasis on working with children with autism. As an integral member of the educational team, you’ll help foster growth, inclusion, and academic success for around 20 students through both push-in and pull-out models.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Educator Certification required (applicants will need to present copies of all relevant licenses)
• Experience with special education, particularly in early childhood or elementary settings
• Strong background working with students with autism
• Ability to implement individualized education plans and adapt instruction as needed
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with staff and families
• Ability to commit to a full-time, on-site schedule for the entire contract period

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction to K-2 students, supporting both academic and behavioral goals
• Work collaboratively with general education teachers, therapists, administration, and families to develop and implement IEPs
• Utilize both push-in and pull-out strategies tailored to each student’s needs
• Maintain accurate records and data on student progress
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and parent conferences as required
• Create and maintain a supportive, inclusive classroom environment
