This contract opportunity is located in the vibrant Daphne, AL region, with an immediate start available and coverage needed through late May 2027. In this role, you’ll work on-site in a single elementary school, providing specialized instruction to a dedicated group of twelve students ranging from kindergarten through fifth grade. The classroom is further supported by a paraprofessional, ensuring collaborative teamwork every day. There will be opportunities to support students with varying needs, including autism and some toileting support.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid educator certification required
• Proven experience as a special education teacher with K–5 students
• Comfortable supporting students with autism and varied needs
• Skilled in developing individualized education plans and adapting curriculum
• Collaborative mindset; welcoming of working with support staff
• Ability to meet on-site attendance and scheduling requirements (7:40 am–3:20 pm, M–F)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead instruction for a self-contained classroom of 12 students
• Create and implement effective lesson plans tailored to individual IEPs
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals and therapists to maximize student support
• Engage in ongoing communication with families and school teams
