Make a difference every day as a Special Education Resource Teacher serving early learners in a vibrant elementary setting. This is a contract opportunity, ideal for travel professionals, at a welcoming onsite location near Daphne, AL, supporting Kindergarten through 2nd grade students with diverse needs, primarily focusing on those with autism. The assignment runs through the entire academic year, providing the chance to build strong relationships and see student growth from start to finish.

Responsibilities include direct academic instruction, both in push-in and pull-out formats, to a caseload of approximately 20 young learners. You’ll collaborate with general educators, implement individualized education plans, and create supportive, engaging environments that help every child thrive. Fostering communication with families and participating in IEP meetings will be a regular part of your role, as well as adapting materials and strategies to ensure accessibility for all students.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid educator certification in special education is required
• Experience with Pre-K or early elementary students preferred
• Familiarity with autism spectrum disorders and proven strategies for differentiation
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Ability to organize and manage the needs of a dynamic classroom
• Passion for advocacy and student-centered learning

Assignment Details:

• Full-time: 35 hours weekly (7:40am – 3:20pm, Monday through Friday)
• Serve one elementary campus
• Support 20 students in grades K-2, both push-in and pull-out
• Onsite position only; travel candidates encouraged to apply
• Start date: ASAP, continuing through May 2027
