Step into an opportunity to make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Resource Teacher supporting Pre-K through 2nd grade learners. This contract position focuses on delivering specialized instruction in a vibrant elementary school setting, with a particular emphasis on working with students on the autism spectrum. You'll serve a dedicated caseload of 20 students, employing both push-in and pull-out strategies to foster social, emotional, and academic growth.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Educator Certification for Special Education required
• Experience with early childhood and K-2 populations preferred
• Strong background in serving students with autism or similar needs
• Demonstrated ability to implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Skilled in adapting curriculum and instructional strategies
• Positive, collaborative approach to family and team communication
• Comfortable presenting current copies of certifications and licenses

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct special education services to K-2 students, utilizing both inclusive (push-in) and small group (pull-out) models
• Develop and execute lesson plans tailored to individual student goals
• Collect and report data on student progress, adjusting interventions as needed
• Actively participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary educators
• Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom community
• Engage in ongoing communication with parents and school staff to ensure student growth

This role is on-site only and is well-suited to travel educators looking to broaden their experience. The assignment runs from ASAP through late May 2027, with a consistent schedule from 7:40am to 3:20pm each weekday. You'll be based within a single elementary school, maximizing your impact and connection with your students.
