Marketing Intern

The Marketing Intern supports the Marketing Manager and the broader marketing team across H&S Energy and its affiliated brands, including Power Market, PM Rewards, PM Auto Spa, Papa Sal's Deli, and PM Delivery.

This role is structured around three core marketing projects, giving the intern hands on exposure to content creation, loyalty program operations, and campaign graphic design. The intern will assist with day-to-day marketing tasks, helping the team stay organized and on schedule while learning how marketing operates across a multi-location retail environment.

The ideal candidate is an organized, curious, and reliable student or early career professional who is eager to learn digital marketing, content management, and retail marketing operations.

Key Projects & Responsibilities

Project 1: Social Media UGC Content & Graphics

Goal: Grow the brand's social presence with authentic, on brand content.

• Research & generate ideas for user generated content (UGC) style social posts and campaigns
• Create original photos and videos for social media, acting as an in house content creator
• Draft copy for social posts, email, and SMS campaigns for Marketing Manager review
• Design supporting graphics via Canva
• Maintain and organize the library of approved brand assets and templates
• Proofread all content for brand consistency and accuracy

Deliverable: A running content calendar or idea bank of UGC concepts, plus finished photo, video, and graphic assets ready for posting.

Project 2: PM Rewards App Audit & Push Notification Support

Goal: Ensure store profiles are accurate and support the app's communication with members.

• Conduct a full audit of store profiles and tags in the PM Rewards app
• Document and flag inconsistencies or errors for correction
• Assist in drafting and organizing push notification content and schedules
• Help manage day to day app performance monitoring
• Test new app features and updates before rollout
• Support organization of app promotions, offers, and member communications

Deliverable: A completed store profile audit report with corrections logged, and a working process for push notification drafting.

Project 3: Graphic Design for Offers

Goal: Produce clear, on brand visuals that promote current offers and promotions.

• Design graphics for offers and promotions using Canva
• Help organize and format digital assets tied to specific offers
• Proofread designs for accuracy and brand consistency before publishing

Deliverable: A finished set of offer graphics and signage, organized and ready for distribution across channels.

Ongoing Support

• Meet regularly with the Marketing Manager on project progress and timelines
• Complete other marketing support tasks as assigned

Education & Experience

Required

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable working with basic digital tools such as Microsoft Office and Canva
• Eagerness to learn and take direction in a fast-paced retail marketing environment

Preferred

• Prior coursework, internship, or project experience in marketing or social media
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics, or CRM platforms
• Interest in convenience retail, fuel retail, foodservice, or hospitality marketing

Physical Demands & Work Environment
