Business Development Manager

Our client, a highly regarded Am Law firm, is seeking a Business Development Manager to join its New Jersey office. This is an exciting opportunity to partner closely with attorneys and firm leadership to drive strategic growth initiatives, lead high-impact business development efforts, and support a nationally respected legal practice in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Execute strategic marketing and business development initiatives to support practice group growth and achieve firm objectives. Partner directly with attorneys to develop and implement business development plans, identify new opportunities, and strengthen client relationships. Manage and prepare high-impact RFPs, pitches, proposals, and client presentations while continually enhancing marketing materials and proposal processes. Conduct competitive intelligence, client and industry research, and market analysis to identify trends and support strategic decision-making. Track business development activity, maintain experience databases and CRM data, and report on proposal success rates and market insights. Coordinate legal directory and ranking submissions while collaborating with internal teams and external PR resources. Develop compelling marketing collateral and thought leadership materials that elevate practice group visibility. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required. 5+ years of marketing or business development experience, preferably within a law firm. Proven experience managing proposals, presentations, client development initiatives, and strategic marketing campaigns. Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading, organizational, and project management skills. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; experience with CRM platforms and marketing analytics tools is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusted relationships with attorneys, firm leadership, and cross-functional teams.
