THE POSITION

The Pennsylvania Treasury is seeking a highly motivated Administrative Officer I to support the Deputy State Treasurer for Fiscal Operations & Policy, the Office of Policy, and the Office of Legislative Affairs. Operational Planning: Coordinate calendars, schedule meetings, and arrange logistics. Administrative Oversight: Prepare and proofread documents, manage spreadsheets and reports, and maintain both digital and physical filing systems. Travel Coordination: Handle all arrangements for staff travel registrations, transportation, and lodging; process travel expense vouchers and out‑service training requests. Project Contributions: Support procurement requisitions, policy tracking, and budget book preparation tasks while maintaining key master spreadsheets. Collaborative Focus: Utilize strong communication and relationship-building skills while working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure positive and professional interactions. Work Schedule and Additional Information Full‑time employment. Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 60‑minute lunch. Telework: The position requires office presence three days per week; up to two days per week may be performed from home, subject to telework eligibility and approved equipment. Salary: Starting salary may be non‑negotiable in some cases. Required Experience, Training & EligibilityQUALIFICATIONS
Two years of experience in varied office management or staff work; and a bachelor's degree; or an equivalent combination of experience and training. Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and web‑based utilities; willingness to learn relevant software. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently on assignments. Ability to perform essential job functions. Preferred Qualifications (not required) Experience managing office communications. Experience handling confidential or sensitive information with discretion. Experience performing administrative tasks such as scheduling, file maintenance, or record‑keeping.
