Candidates must be highly self‑motivated, capable of learning new techniques, and maintain excellent documentation. Role involves independent and collaborative work in a diverse group. Responsibilities Devote 50% of research time to arginylation research and 50% to independent interests and collaborations. Design, develop, and perform enzymatic and cellular assays. Write papers and grants independently with guidance. Participate fully as a team player within the lab. Assist graduate and undergraduate students in research activities. Qualifications Minimum Education: Ph.D. or Doctorate in a relevant research field. Preferred Experience: Knowledge of proteomics, protein purification, enzyme assays, and cell culture. Experience with E. coli protein purification considered favorably. Strong training in proteomics and cell assays; applicants with mostly synthetic/medicinal chemistry training are discouraged. Self‑motivation and ability to work independently and collaboratively. Strong written and oral communication skills.
