Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct virtual counseling sessions with individuals, couples, and families, utilizing secure and HIPAA-compliant video conferencing platforms to ensure client confidentiality and trust.

• Provide immediate support in crisis situations, utilizing de-escalation techniques and safety planning to ensure the ongoing safety and well-being of clients.

• Maintain thorough and confidential client records, including clinical notes and treatment plans, adhering to ethical and legal standards of practice.

• Educate clients about their mental health conditions, instilling coping strategies and preventive approaches to empower them in managing their own mental well-being.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinarity teams and local resources to provide a holistic, integrated care approach to clients.

• Engage in continuous professional development through training, workshops, and updated certifications to stay current with the latest mental health trends and methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Mountain View Counseling Services, you will work with a varied patient population, assisting clients from all walks of life. Our clients may be dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and other mental health challenges. Your ability to establish a therapeutic rapport and provide customized interventions will be key to fostering positive outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• Current licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York State.

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n
