Business Development Representative (Outbound)

Build your sales career alongside the person closing the deals. You'll work on-site in Fremont with a director, finding West Coast customers and turning cold outreach into qualified meetings. Seal builds software for biopharma teams making new medicines. We connect the records and workflows across their labs, manufacturing and quality operations. Your job is to find the companies we can help, reach the right people and start the conversation. Read our mission . This is a full-time, on-site role in Fremont, California. Graduates and career changers are welcome; previous software sales experience is not required. What you'll do Research biopharma companies and identify the people responsible for manufacturing, process development and quality. Make outbound cold calls, write personal emails and follow up with prospects. Understand a prospect's current processes and problems, qualify the fit and book meetings for your director. Keep clear notes in the CRM and make sure each handoff gives your director the context to move the conversation forward. Review calls and results together, practise your approach and improve it every week. You'll be measured on qualified meetings that happen and the sales opportunities they create. What we're looking for You communicate clearly, ask good questions and follow through. You're comfortable picking up the phone, handling rejection and trying again. You take feedback seriously and want to learn how to sell a technical product. A science or engineering background can help, but it isn't required. Evidence that you learn quickly and get things done matters more than your degree or job title. You must be able to work on-site in Fremont and be authorized to work in the United States. Compensation Annual base salary: $55,000 USD . On-target earnings: $80,000 USD per year , consisting of $55,000 base salary and $25,000 commission at an annual target of $500,000 in commission-eligible sales credited to you. Commission is uncapped , paid at 5% of commission-eligible sales you originate under Seal's sales commission plan.
