Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of individual needs and recovery goals for clients seeking treatment for substance use disorders.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans based on evidence-based practices such as motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy.

• Facilitate individual counseling sessions, ensuring a structured and supportive environment that promotes trust and open communication.

• Lead group therapy sessions to foster community among clients, providing a platform for sharing experiences and strategies in recovery.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including psychiatrists and addiction specialists, to ensure holistic and integrated treatment.

• Conduct crisis intervention when necessary, offering immediate support and resources to clients during substance-related emergencies.

You will primarily work with individuals struggling with substance use disorders, ranging from those in early recovery to those seeking ongoing support to maintain sobriety. Our client population includes adults of diverse backgrounds and experiences, making cultural competence and empathy essential qualities in your practice. Families of clients are also a vital focus, as their support plays a critical role in the recovery process.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.

• In-depth knowledge of substance use disorders and familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Proven experience in delivering both individual and group therapy within an addiction treatment context.

Compensation and Benefits\n
