Responsibilities
Assist the Kitchen Manager in overseeing daily kitchen operations and staff.
Supervise and support line cooks, prep cooks, and kitchen staff during each shift.
Ensure all food is prepared consistently according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines.
Help train, coach, and develop kitchen employees while promoting teamwork and accountability.
Monitor food quality, portion control, and inventory levels to minimize waste and control costs.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen that meets all health department and food safety regulations.
Assist with ordering, receiving, and stocking food and kitchen supplies.
Ensure kitchen equipment is properly maintained and report any maintenance or repair needs.
Help create staff schedules and ensure adequate coverage during busy periods.
Step into leadership responsibilities in the Kitchen Manager's absence.
Promote a positive, professional, and safety-focused work environment.

Qualifications
Previous experience in a restaurant kitchen, with supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations.
Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Dependable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
