Location: Central San Diego

Schedule: Hybrid (2 days in office, 3 days remote)

Pay Rate: $23.00-$25.00/hour

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: Contract-to-Hire

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for employee payroll inquiries and resolve payroll-related issues
• Process timecard corrections, missing punches, and approval follow-ups
• Generate payroll and timekeeping reports using UKG
• Upload bonuses and process basic employee payroll updates
• Support the Payroll Manager with daily payroll administration activities
• Maintain payroll accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with company policies
• Assist with employee onboarding paperwork and HR record maintenance
• Support employee data updates, including status changes, job code changes, and personnel records
• Partner with HR to ensure accurate employee information is reflected in payroll systems
• Assist with audits and payroll-related compliance documentation

Qualifications

• 1+ year of payroll experience
• Experience utilizing UKG strongly preferred
• 2-3 years of combined payroll and HR support experience is ideal
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
