Work Environment\n

This position allows for flexibility as it is a remote role, enabling the LCSW to balance their professional responsibilities with personal commitments. The work primarily involves collaboration with school staff, students, and families to ensure seamless integration of mental health support within the educational framework. The work hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, ensuring a structured yet adaptable schedule.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Act as a vital liaison between students, families, and outpatient service providers to facilitate effective communication and ongoing support.

• Engage with insurance companies for pre-certification and utilization management, ensuring that students receive appropriate care without unnecessary complications.

• Play an integral role in discharge and aftercare planning, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care for students transitioning from in-house services.

• Provide therapeutic meal support within school settings, modeling appropriate and healthy relationships with food, and addressing any emotional eating concerns.

• Deliver safe, empathetic, and affirming care tailored to the unique circumstances of each student, taking into account their intersecting identities and personal challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be working with school-aged children and adolescents, alongside their families. This role requires a strong understanding of the challenges faced by students today, including academic pressure, social issues, and mental health disorders.
