Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of residents to accurately assess their physical capabilities and specific treatment needs.
• Design and implement personalized treatment plans focused on improving strength, mobility, and functional independence tailored to individual goals.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and advanced modalities, to effectively address physical impairments and enhance recovery.
• Regularly monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to optimize outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with a diverse, interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive and integrated care for each patient.
• Educate residents and their families about appropriate home exercise programs and strategies for ongoing health maintenance.
• Ensure adherence to all state and federal regulations as well as professional standards in physical therapy practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on the rehabilitation needs of a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgery, those managing chronic pain, and geriatric patients experiencing mobility challenges. Our therapists work diligently to foster functional recovery, empowering patients to regain their independence and improve their quality of life.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in New York State is mandatory.
• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or higher, such as a Master's Degree or Doctorate from an accredited institution is essential.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are crucial for working effectively with patients and team members.
• The ability to adapt to fast-paced environments while providing compassionate care is vital for success in this role.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar rehabilitation environment is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

At Oasis Physical Therapy, we offer a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 110,000 per year, alongside a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off to support your work-life balance.
