Work Environment

Located in the scenic Niagara Falls area, our clinic offers an onsite, full-time position where you'll be part of a collaborative team that includes one Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) and two fellow physical therapists. Our staff focuses on creating a supportive atmosphere. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life integration while delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer direct patient care in compliance with physician prescriptions, employing established physical therapy practices and state regulations.
• Utilize thorough evaluation techniques to assess patient conditions, develop personalized treatment plans, and set achievable therapeutic goals.
• Monitor and document patient progress accurately, adjusting treatment programs as necessary to optimize outcomes based on patient tolerance and response.
• Respond proactively to department emergency procedures, ensuring patient safety and efficient emergency management.
• Maintain meticulous documentation in accordance with departmental policies, contributing to quality assurance and enhancing clinic operations.
• Engage with interdisciplinary team members and families during meetings to discuss patient management and welfare comprehensively.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance departmental performance and service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• Possess a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• Hold a valid Physical Therapist license in the state of New York, with no disciplinary actions on record.
• Demonstrate proficiency in manual therapy techniques and the ability to develop effective exercise protocols tailored to patient needs.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as WebPT is essential for efficient patient documentation and management.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in orthopedic physical therapy is preferred.
• Experience working in a sports medicine or rehabilitation facility setting is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with patients and team members.

Compensation and Benefits
