Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day responsibilities as a Physical Therapist will include:

• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients, including reviewing medical histories, performing physical assessments, and establishing comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
• Communicating evaluation findings and proposed treatment plans clearly to patients and their families, and actively involving them in goal-setting to ensure a collaborative approach to care.
• Implementing evidence-based treatment protocols, adjusting as needed based on patient progress and changes in their health status.
• Consulting with colleagues and other healthcare professionals to optimize care plans, document any significant changes in patient conditions, and determine if further medical intervention is necessary.
• Managing accurate documentation related to patient care activities, including initial assessments, progress notes, and discharge summaries, in compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
• Participating in community outreach programs and hospital marketing activities to promote services and enhance access to care for potential patients.
• Embracing opportunities for professional development through ongoing education and contributing as a clinical instructor when applicable.
• Helping remove barriers to access for vulnerable populations and actively engaging in initiatives to support patient accessibility and satisfaction.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must have:

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred but not required.
• A valid state license to practice physical therapy in New York.
• Current certification in CPR (BLS for Healthcare Providers) from the American Heart Association.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
