Work Environment

The Physical Therapist will work onsite within our well-equipped outpatient office in Niagara Falls, engaging closely with a dedicated team of two other Physical Therapists and one Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA). The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, promoting a balanced work-life dynamic while allowing for consistent patient management. You will maintain a manageable caseload of one patient per hour to ensure the utmost attention and quality care for each individual.

Key Responsibilities

• Recognize and address individual patient goals and needs effectively to facilitate optimal recovery outcomes.
• Maintain a patient load of one individual per hour to ensure personalized care and attention.
• Develop and implement comprehensive care plans utilizing a diverse range of therapeutic techniques tailored to each patient's condition.
• Utilize strong manual therapy skills to provide effective treatment interventions, enhancing patients' mobility and function.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery and communication regarding patient progress.
• Document and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans and patient progress, maintaining accurate records in EMR software (such as WebPT).
• Provide education and motivation to patients throughout their rehabilitation journey to inspire commitment to recovery.
• Advocate for a healthy lifestyle and preventive care through individualized fitness and wellness programs.
• Minimize reliance on medications by exploring non-surgical alternatives and advising patients on lifestyle modifications.
• Conduct evaluations and reassessments of treatment effectiveness, continuously adapting plans as needed.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on clients in need of orthopedic rehabilitation, many of whom possess private medical insurance. You will work closely with individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions, facilitating their journey toward greater movement and fitness. By understanding and addressing the unique challenges each patient faces, you will play a significant role in restoring their physical capabilities.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Physical Therapist in New York State.
• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• No board actions or disciplinary actions against your license.
• Proficient in manual therapy techniques and creating effective therapeutic exercises.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) software, specifically WebPT, to streamline documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working as a Physical Therapist in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to customize treatment plans and develop personalized exercise routines.
• Experience in collaborating with other healthcare professionals for cross-disciplinary treatment excellence.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $110,000, commensurate with experience.
