Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough pediatric physical therapy evaluations to assess patient needs and develop tailored rehabilitation plans.
• Design and implement evidence-based treatment strategies for various conditions, including neurological, orthopedic, and developmental challenges.
• Educate patients and their families on effective home exercise programs and therapeutic techniques to support continued progression.
• Regularly collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to create a comprehensive care plan that encompasses all aspects of the patient's well-being.
• Document therapy sessions accurately and maintain up-to-date patient records to track progress and outcomes.
• Participate actively in scheduled team meetings, contributing insights and strategies to enhance the patient care experience.
• Adhere to best practices in patient safety, infection control, and clinic policies to maintain a healthy work environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role is on the pediatric population, encompassing children and adolescents with varying physical challenges. Our therapists work closely with patients dealing with conditions such as cerebral palsy, developmental delays, sports injuries, and post-surgical recovery. Each child presents a unique set of needs, and your role will be pivotal in assessing these needs and providing personalized interventions that lead to significant improvements in their physical abilities and overall confidence.

Qualifications

• A valid New York State Physical Therapy License and current CPR certification are mandatory.
• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required, with a Master's or Doctoral degree preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment skills and familiarity with pediatric physical therapy methodologies are essential.
• Proficient in developing and implementing customized treatment plans and demonstrating innovative therapeutic techniques.

Compensation and Benefits
