Staff Accountant

Our client is an international watch distributor. They seek a Staff Accountant to join their Manhattan, NY office. Responsibilities Oversee accurate financial records in SAP Business One Reconcile and post daily transactions across wholesale, e-commerce, and marketplace activity Coordinate accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including reconciliations, cash application, and collections follow-up Execute incoming and outgoing payments, including ACH, wires, and credit card activity Complete bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliations while maintaining organized backup documentation Analyze transaction coding and resolve mispostings or unusual activity promptly Reconcile inventory-related activity, including landed costs, freight, returns, and inventory adjustments Partner with operations and logistics teams to investigate discrepancies and maintain clean financial data by SKU, vendor, and channel Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepaids, and other month-end close support schedules Streamline accounting workflows, reinforce internal controls, and liaise with external accountants, auditors, and finance leadership as needed Requirements 3-7+ years of hands‑on accounting or bookkeeping experience Experience in consumer products, wholesale distribution, retail, e-commerce, or inventory-based businesses Solid understanding of AP & AR processes, bank reconciliations, general ledger accounting, and inventory‑related accounting Experience with inventory-heavy, SKU-driven businesses is a preferred Exposure working with 3PLs, freight, and logistics-related accounting preferred Strong working experience in SAP Business One is required #J-18808-Ljbffr Abacus Group, LLC
