Your primary focus will be the Community Health Clinic environment, where virtual services are supplemented by collaborative efforts with on-site educational staff for a cohesive approach to student mental health. Regular interactions with multidisciplinary teams facilitate a supportive work atmosphere, although some evening shifts and weekend rotations may be necessitated by the needs of the student body.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments by gathering critical information regarding each student’s personal history, presenting concerns, and risk factors relevant to their situations.

• Devise and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to meet the needs of each student, ensuring that interventions align with their unique circumstances and goals.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care to address a spectrum of mental health concerns.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, allowing students to engage in personal growth and learn effective coping strategies.

• Collaborate with mental health professionals including psychiatrists, psychologists, and psychiatric nurse practitioners to ensure a holistic treatment approach for students.

• Deliver crisis intervention support during mental health emergencies, employing de-escalation techniques to ensure student safety and stability.

• Educate students and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and available support resources in the community.

• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of clients’ progress, assessments, and treatment planning in compliance with the regulations of the mental health field.

• Participate actively in case meetings, multidisciplinary discussions, and in-service training to foster professional development and enhance collaborative practices.

Qualifications\n
