Quality Technician

The Quality Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the visual quality inspection of module assemblies. This involves data collection through measurement or observation, compiling electronic data, processing supplier rejects, and conducting module inspection checks before assembly release. The technician will escalate quality concerns to the Quality Manager and will use various software platforms to document measurements and findings. Additionally, the role requires interpreting basic engineering drawings and using hand tools such as calipers and micrometers to meet quality expectations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct visual quality inspections of module assemblies.
• Collect and process data using software applications.
• Process supplier rejects and perform module inspection checks prior to assembly release.
• Escalate quality concerns and challenges to the Quality Manager.
• Interpret basic engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Utilize hand tools like calipers and micrometers to ensure quality standards are met.
• Document measurements and findings using multiple software platforms.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in quality inspection and visual inspection techniques.
• Experience with calipers, micrometers, and gages.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Experience in automotive manufacturing.
• Strong data collection and processing skills via software applications.
• Effective communication skills for addressing issues and concerns.
• Technical writing proficiency and understanding of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Preferably an Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S) degree or higher.
• 3+ years of relevant experience with a degree, or 5+ years without a degree.

This is a Contract position based out of Duncan, SC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
