The successful candidate will work with a group of engineers involved in the design, automation, commissioning and start-up of various processes, systems, and facilities. A combination of strong technical aptitude, automation engineering skills and technical writing are the desired skill set. Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Design, configuration, integration and implementation of process control solutions for the Life Sciences industry.
\n
• Design, program, implement, test and document Emerson Delta V DCSs.
\n
• Develop User Requirement Specifications.
\n
• Develop Software and Hardware Design Specifications.
\n
• Develop control system validation/testing protocols.
\n
• Develop electrical panel schematics.
\n
• Develop scope of supply documents.
\n
• Manage automation projects as assigned.
\n
• Monitor progress of projects.
\n
• Install, test, and start-up control systems on-site.
\n
• Work with plant engineers and operators to implement control strategies.
\n
• Train operators and engineers on control systems.
\n

Qualifications

\n

\n
• Requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline degree is required.
\n
• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the biotech/pharma industry.
\n
• Strong knowledge of the S88 Batch structure is required.
\n
• Strong knowledge on review and understanding of P&IDs drawings.
\n
• Strong knowledge of automation narratives and architecture of DeltaV experience is a must.
\n
• Experience in commissioning and startup of control systems is required.
\n
• Experience with PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems is a plus.
\n
• Experience with control system networking technologies and PC networking technologies is a plus.
\n
• SCADA Platforms: Rockwell, Siemens, Wonderware, GE knowledge is a plus.
\n
• Specific knowledge of cGMPs and batch process control in the life science industry.
\n
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance inclusive of cGMP, 21 CFR Part 11 requirements, FDA regulations
\n
